Not Too Bright

In a state of boredom, I decided it would be fun to put my trusty digital thermometer in a cup of hot tea. Now my trusty thermometer is broken. This is a minor crisis. I'm home alone sick with no thermometer! Talk about a panic attack waiting to happen.

I’m suddenly on fire, and don’t know if the 102.4 reading is my own, or a malfunction. I think I’ll try the fridge…

Nooooo! That's a dilemma. But maybe you'd be better off not knowing that you have a temperature... if indeed you do have one. Maybe?

You nong. I did the same thing (the tea thing) and stuffed it. I didn't think anyone else would be as silly as me.

Misery loves company! I'm overjoyed to know that I'm not the only one who's dunked her prized possession in a cup of tea. ;)

My sincerest apologies. I was only saying that maybe it's a good thing that you don't know that you've got a fever so you can just play like you don't have one... but if you did, so what?! Uhm... I'll shut the fuck up now. Sorry.

Leila,

"Trusty digital thermo-meter"? Lucky you. What kind is/was it? I have one old one that works pretty well but tried to get a spare for me and one for Dad, and neither of them give the same temp twice in a row.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what brand now that you mention it, I'll have to check when I get home...

Good Sense is the brand. I swear by it. Although it's never given me a reading over 99, so maybe it's not as trusty as I thought!
