Say Aww

Seeing as how I’ve had four—yes, 1, 2, 3, 4—root canals (on the same tooth), in the last three months, I’m not particularly tickled with this article about the implications of poor oral hygiene.

Why can’t a cavity just be a cavity? Dry mouth a sign of thirst? What has the world become when a cavity equates to heart disease; dry mouth to leukemia? Is it me, or are things getting a little bizarre here?

Aside from a mouth full of fillings and four recent root canals, I—prior to my tonsillectomy—was a chronic sufferer of strep throat. So maybe, just maybe, my skepticism is based on the realization that if “opening your mouth” really is like, “cracking open the hood of your car,” then I’m screwed. But I stand by my initial reaction that any article with the words: “your dentist should be one of your best friends,” is a real crock.

4!?!? :o
Is your dentist doing this blind, handcuffed or in bondage? because thats insane...! You would be better off to have it ripped out and have an implant. Lot less painful. I'm sorry this sucks.

Did you know that many infections invade the body through the mouth? That's one of the reasons that those who floss regularly live longer.

Ceck out this site - if you dare ;0)

Whatever you do - DO NOT CHECK OUT Robert's link! :)

Good too see you back online! Hope you're doing well. I went through that same root canal business this past summer. Ah.. The time that I became introduced to Vicodin.

Well, off to floss! And then floss again...

Have a great holiday - I am "virtually" doing "CHEERS" with my Bailey's and coffee.... Because in 2 short hours I will be among 51 of my closest in-laws.... I think I need to add some straight up whiskey to this - I'm off! ;)

I do not like dentist... mainly because they tend to cause me pain whilist drilling uncomfortably in my mouth.

I stumbled upon this blog b/c I just started my own (with hypochondria). First of all, you are such an entertaining writer, and secondly I can relate with almost all of your posts! I hope your tooth is fixed once and for all!
